Easy to install and works great. Replaced the scratched and hazy camera that was on my truck. It's nice to have a clear image while backing up again.

Easy to install work great prefect fit for my Silverado

I had a message to check the back up camera. It was barely visible. I figured there was power to the camera so it had to be a camera problem. One of the diagnostics on YouTube was to remove and check the fuse box but I was afraid I might damage the pins on the bottom.Job took about 10 minutes. The reason for failure was a broken wire in the connector. At first I thought I couldn’t get access to the camera but then realized the hole was covered by tape and bed liner. I just cut the tape out. This was on a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD long bed. Don’t forget to tie a string on the old harness to pull the new one through the tailgate.

The bracket didn't fit exactly like OEM but I was able to make it work. Camera quality is improved but nothing drastic on a 2015 GMC which has been parked outside forever. This is just a limitation of the factory screen, but definitely less fuzzy. Not sure what the difference is between this and $100+ ones but this seemed to be a good middle ground vs the cheaper $30 ones. Don't expect anything crazy improved unless you are running an aftermarket screen or something.

The product was well packaged and it appeared to be of good quality. BUT: the item came in the box with nothing else. There were no screws and there was no instructions. I had provided my vehicle information and this item was approved for my vehicle. After significant research, I found that It did mount in my tailgate where it was supposed to and the wire did plug-in to the receiving plug underneath my truck. However, it didn’t work at all. And from what I found out, I have the smaller screen on my truck, which doesn’t allow for video. So not all the right questions were asked prior to purchase by the manufacturer to see if it would fit my vehicle. Not having owned one of these vehicles before I didn’t know whether it fit or not so I relied on their information for fitting. This didn’t work. If I had known, it wasn’t going to fit with the screen that I currently have I wouldn’t have ordered it or gone through the trouble of trying to put it in. It was a waste of time.

2015 Silverado 2500HD- Easy install, 15 minutes. You will need a T15 bit, a T20 bit, and 3’ of string to chase the wire. The unit plugs in next to the spare tire. You will not need to remove the spare tire to access the plug. I was hoping for as clear of a picture as my wife’s 2021, I did not get that but I did get a much, MUCH better picture than what the stock camera offered. Pics attached. Happy with the purchase.
