Great, strong flavor
Very strong and potent nice fresh flavor. Great quality! Made Zatar with it that reminded me of eating it in Palestine.

Store in the freezer to maintain quality
The bottle cap was not screwed on properly, hence there was a little spillage. The packaging to prevent glass breakage was very good though.Gochugaru has a tendency to get fungus very easily, hence as mentioned on the bottle, it HAS to be stored in an airtight container if you want it to last at least a few months.I also prefer storing it in the freezer, to maintain freshness (as recommended by several Korean cooks). The taste is not as spicy for the typical Indian palate. It has the smoky hot flavour as usual, but don’t expect to be knocked out of your senses with the spice.Gochugaru in reality isn’t as spicy as certain chillies available in India.

Good experience with Food Library but expensive
The Gochu powder or rather the flakes is really good quality. The taste and color of the product are excellent. Gochugaru is not supposed to be super spicy. It is an even better version of Kashmiri chili powder - not hot but flavourful. But the price should be lower.

Too smoky; does not taste authentic
Far too smoky compared to authentic ones. The color is also darker and not bright red. So the kimchi I made with this came out all wrong. I’ve had authentic kimchi before and I’ve made kimchi before using other peppers, and this didn’t meet my expectations.

Seems old
Since the brand I usually use was out of stock, I ordered this one. The color seemed much darker and smells a bit of stale oil, like when nuts go offa similar smell. Usually natural Sumac addds a nice pink red color to the dish but this one did nothing. The taste was also almost non existent. I checked the date and it was packed this month and expires in a few months but I think they are just repacking old stuff. Not nice. But from urban platter it's way better.

Best wasabi in the Indian market
Since we are a sushi loving family, we learned how to make it during the extended lockdown and I can say with some authority that this is the best wasabi in the Indian market today cause I have tried other makes of wasabi powder, the wasabi tube and they have all fallen short.

Great product for Korean food!
Great for Korean cuisine! Rich red colour and mild/medium heat. Have made kimchi with it and it turned out good! I am a repeat customer for this product.

Not that spicy
Unless I have tried the original version of this kind of pepper, I can't really tell whether this is authentic or not. I got it to make kimchi and both versions turned out good. It is a bit grainy which means it doesn't properly dissolve you are mixing it.It is not that spicy as per Indian standard but is different in taste than Indian red chili powders. As for repurchase, I will give the chili paste a try before (which is very costly) then going back to this.
