The construction and comfort of this vest seems to be quite good for the price, unless you have giant dogs.Pros are: There is 3-way adjustability to get a custom fit depending on your dog's proportions - chest band adjusts how far back girth will lay, girth itself, and under-chest strap for stability. Good padding. And you can actually fit two velcro patches on each side securely if you put them halfway top/bottom (we got "In Training" on top of "Do Not Pet") - though I don't know if this would apply to smaller versions.Cons - I got the XL when my English Mastiff was 7 months old (around 130 lb), and it seemed like I had a lot of room to work with. However, now at 8 months and around 145 lb, his width necessitated further chest-band expansion so the girth didn't dig into his armpits. I discovered that the "hook" portion of the velcro here is almost half of the entire strap, so at the area I needed to adjust to, it was only hook-hook touching and no "loop" available. So of course it won't stay. I would suggest for construction to only have a few-inch section of "hook" and the rest being "loop" for maximum adjustability of the horizontal chest strap - both the girth and lower chest support strap still have a lot of room for growth. I will probably have to sew something in there for now and then end up having to get a custom vest for him, wish there were more for the XXXL crowd!

This is definitely the best harness I have purchased for any of my dog companion animals. I purchased it primarily for the Do Not Pet sign during this virus crisis but it is so well made and fits my 67lb lab mix perfectly. It is all padded and the strapping are wide and very strong, the clasp much wider than any I have purchased previously and I have quite a few because I have an escape artist on my hands. So I am always looking for a harness that can hold my very clever lab. She tends to pull out of them by pulling backwards. I have had issues with straps unraveling or clasps not clicking securely or pinching my fingers. Anyway, this beats all my other harnesses and more importantly looks very comfortable for her as well while keeping her secure. You do need to step one of your dog’s legs into it (a caveat for elderly dogs with mobility issues) but otherwise it clasps with one click. Super easy. Looks stylish too.

Works good on my dog, just wish I got a smaller size bur it's good on lasting long and the letters are visible. Definitely recommend this product.

We have an elderly chipin that weighs about 10#. In her old age, she has become increasingly “snippy” when strangers try to pet her. Because she is so little and cute, people try to pet her without asking or of they do ask and I say no, they don’t listen. This will harness has been worth every penny and she has only worn it out on two occasions. People can clearly read not to pet her and she can still go “bye-bye” with our family. The fit is amazing and adjustable, I followed the size chart and measured her for a good fit. I also really like the leash clip and handle on the back. She can sit on my lap in the car and hang out the window and I can hold onto the handle, not worry about her jumping or falling. The leash clip on the back keeps her from pulling on her leash and choking herself on her collar. Love the color selection and that its reflective.

Love this harness. My Doberman does not enjoy strangers approaching him and this harness has made it so much easier to bring him to public places. I did remove the chest piece and the harness is now much easier and quicker to slip on and off. The “do not pet” print is highly visible and the harness fits him well.

The material is great quality and its easy to put on. It doesn't restrict any of his movements and does not interfere with his collars on walks. The writing is legible and so far hasn't come off. It is a great deterrent for a dog thats in training, anxious, or does not like to be touched by others. Unfortunately you can't get too comfortable with your dog having this on. I STILL have had people try to approach my dog with the vest on.

I use this harness for my Belgium Malinois....... we jog everyday & this harness is perfect. Good fit, & I really like the large "DO NOT PET "letters on the side patches..

The first two times my dog wore this harness worked out great. The harness was comfortable on my dog and it looked really nice. The third time we used the harness the strap ripped and now hangs. For the price I paid I was expecting a sturdier harness. My dog does not have a problem with pulling so I’m not sure why the strap would have broken.

The harness is true to size and my dog seems comfortable in it. I find it difficult to put on the dog; it’s sort of like a puzzle with a lot of pieces and I have a hard time fitting them all together. I also wish that the DO NOT PET logos were bigger. People are still trying to pet my dog because they don’t see them right away.

Is a good vest but found with my dog, it restricts his movement too much and he won’t do anything while he’s wearing it.

Exactly as described and very sturdy. After a couple adjustments it fits perfectly on my dog and measurements are exact. I like how it has padding under so it doesn't hurt the dog with the strap. It also doesn't shift compared to my other one which is very good. She walks and runs without me needing to readjust it. Very happy so far.

LOVE IT!! Large fits my American Bully perfectly. Stays square on his body. In the dark, the grey reflects and there's an outline of red around the whole vest. Very visible on night walks!
