Know What You're Getting
My daughter owns a set of Bose, so I have a good comparititve source. I am only an occasional user but needed something for work to lessen the worship team's amplified drum pounding, as my office adjoins the auditorium. (They rehearse one day each week). In short, I will use these infrequently, and that was the biggest factor in my decision to purchase a 'budget' product. Here's my review:THE GOODComfort. These are actually very comfortable to wear. Nice balance on the head, and I think I could be very active without fear of them slipping out of place or having to constantly adjust them.Noise 'muffling' (not noise cancelling). I was impressed with how much ambient noise they blocked switched off, not connected to anything.Noise Cancelling, part 1. While listening to music at a relatively low volume, the noise-cancelling effect is very good. I had my wife speak to me at a conversational volume and could not hear her at all, whereas with it switched off I could still hear her over the music and the 'muffling' effect of the headphones.Battery. The battery is rechargeable-plug it into a 5V source (computer USB or standard phone charger). I did not see this described in the product information. One other thing: you must remove the headphone cord before it will charge. I initially thought the charge function wasn't working until I discovered that I needed to unplug the jack first.THE NOT-SO-GOODNoise Cancelling, part 2. With no music and noise cancelling switched on, spoken voice comes through loud and clear. Some users may find this desirable. I just expected something close to my daughter's Bose, and when you switch those on it's like stepping into a recording studio sound booth. I'm hopeful low frequencies get blocked, and will edit this review once I find out later this week.Sound 'Richness'. (Sorry, I'm not a technophobe, so forgive the lack of technical terms). With noise cancelling turned off, the music quality sounds great to me. When you turn it on, you seem to lose a lot of the sounds that would be on the lower frequencies of a graphic equalizer. The music doesn't seem as full or rich as when the noise cancelling is turned off. It is almost as if the noise cancelling effect is working against what you are listening to, if that makes sense.OVERALL: I think this is a reasonable product for business travelers or infrequent users. It is definitely a case of 'you get what you pay for.' Do not buy these expecting $300 Bose performance. If you listen to a lot of music or need superior noise cancelling, save your money and go with a premium product.

Great sound, poor construction, great customer service
The good - These headphones work as advertised. They are very comfortable and the noise reduction works remarkably well. They come with a very attractive case and all of the required accessories. The bad - The joint where the earphone connects to the headset broke after my 4th use. Very disappointing. While the sound and feel would get a much higher rating, due to the poor design, construction or quality control I give it two stars.UPDATE: After my comments here I was contacted by the vendor. I provide a little more context to the issues and what happened to the headset. The company set me a replacement unit and to date they are working perfectly. Please be aware, as indicated on the product page, "NOTE: DO NOT SUPPORT 360 DEGREE ROTATION (AS IS SHOWN IN THE PICTURE)," Not sure if this was my issue but you must be very careful to only turn the ear piece the correct direction. If you turn it the other way it will be detrimental to the headset.Because the company took the time to reach out to me and work to make this right I am moving the rating from 2 stars to 4 stars.

Reasonably priced and average noise cancelling and sound quality.
I have only had these headphones for a few days, but it has been enough time for an initial rating:1) They are reasonably comfortable and reduce noise before activating the noise canceling. The over ear design is reasonably comfortable. I prefer in ear designs and I do need to take these off after 2-3 hours, but that is normal for me.2) The noise canceling reduces low level noise considerably, and background noise "good" but not excellent.3) The noise cancelling does not work that well for higher pitched sounds. I have an office in a loud area ( a student union at a college) and the talking without music can still be heard clearly. However, it does reduce higher pitched sounds and when playing music even quietly, it is very hard to hear people outside my door.4) I am not an audiophile, but the sound is decent. The base is much better without the noise cancelling but overall acceptable.Overall , I would give them a 3.5-4 stars considering the price. These are not as class leading Bose, but they are much more reasonably priced and certainly worth the money in my opinion.

the noise cancellation is great, the music sounds good and clear through them
I've had and used these every day at work (6 day weeks) for almost a month. I work in an industrial manufacturing setting. They work really well; the noise cancellation is great, the music sounds good and clear through them, the battery lasts for three 12 hour shifts before needing a recharge, and they're actually pretty comfortable, but they are also pretty fragile. The ear covers turn in one direction to fit in their case, but the right ear swivel popped in the first week, and now I have to hold them carefully to put them on without it popping off. Once on, though, they still stay in place pretty well. Also, last week they fell off my work station to the concrete floor (about 3 ft) and landed on the left ear side and broke the plastic casing holding it into place, so now I've got tape looped on it to hold it in place. I don't blame the seller for any of this, they lived up to their end really well (plus I can be a bit clumsy), and I still recommend them; just be very careful when handling them.
