It’s a supplement
Nature Made Magnesium Glycinate is a solid choice for those seeking a gentle, bioavailable magnesium supplement. Each serving (two capsules) delivers 200 mg of magnesium, which is about half the daily recommended amount for most adults. It’s marketed as supporting muscle relaxation, nerve function, heart health, and bone strength—claims that align with magnesium’s known roles in the body. The glycinate form is a plus; it’s less likely to cause digestive upset compared to cheaper forms like magnesium oxide, and it absorbs well due to being chelated with glycine.I’ve found it easy on the stomach, as advertised, with no bloating or laxative effect even when taken on an empty stomach. It’s also gluten-free, with no artificial flavors or colors, which is nice for those avoiding additives. The capsules are a bit large, though—might be tricky if you struggle with swallowing pills. Some users report better sleep or reduced anxiety after a few weeks, but I didn’t notice a dramatic difference in those areas myself. Still, it’s a reliable option for filling dietary gaps, especially if your intake of magnesium-rich foods like nuts or leafy greens is low.Price-wise, it’s reasonable for the quality, often around $10-$15 for a 60-capsule bottle, depending on the retailer. Not the cheapest, but Nature Made’s reputation and third-party testing give some peace of mind. If you’re after a straightforward magnesium supplement without gimmicks, this does the job. Just don’t expect miracles—it’s a nutrient, not a magic pill.

Works well, pills are huge
This product works well for relaxation, sleep aid or any other reason you are supplementing magnesium. The only thing is that you should be aware that the pills are quite large, so get a different magnesium if you have a problem with swallowing pills. But otherwise this product is great and really works well.

Potent. Capsule is large.
It’s a good dose of mag, which makes the size a bit big, but it’s actually a hard to find amount. These are exactly what I was looking for: each capsule has 100mg of magnesium (not counting the glycinate). Ya gotta read that label closely- many other products have barely 100mg in 4 capsules. This is the right dose.

Helpful at night to relax muscles that are causing nerve pain in legs
I tried these at the recommendation of a pharmacist, to relax muscles at night that keep pinching nerves at night causing periodic "zings" of pain to the thigh/knee. It is very helpful when taken as recommended (two, just before bed.) There are many different types of magnesium, but magnesium glycinate was specifically recommended for tight muscles causing nerve pain/pressure and to work most quickly, and I find it does help. I often also use it in combination with TheraBlend Magnesium Calming Cream applied to the skin, also just before bed when night pains are especially bad. That particular cream was recommended by a chiropractic neurologist, but it's costly so it's good to also be able to take the mineral in the capsules so I use less of the cream. My only problem with them is that they are HUGE to swallow, but the relief I get at night has been worth it. I would rather take 3 smaller capsules than 2 large ones so hope Nature Made will make that a future option.

Great for Sleep
First of all, these are rather large capsules so I don’t recommend it if you have difficulty swallowing. I used to wake up a lot at night and couldn’t get back to sleep. I take 400 mg of the magnesium glycinate about 30 minutes before bed. If I wake up, I can easily fall back to sleep. There’s no morning hangover effects. The glycinate form does not cause the gi issues you can experience with other forms of magnesium.

Pretty good!
I've been taking this at night with dinner. I've noticed on the nights that I skip, my sleep isn't as restful. I bought this initially to help curb my chronic migraines. It is too early to say on if it truly makes a difference on that point, but the helping me sleep is a plus hence the full stars!

Gigantic pills!
These are bigger than regular-size pills, making them really difficult to swallow two at a time. Even one at a time is hard. I'm afraid to take these before bed out of fear that they'll get stuck in my throat when I lie down.
