I've had this creature for over a year now and it still looks real. It's got all its fur and the eyes haven't fallen out. Kick it around a few times and the dust comes right off. If you place it just right, when people walk in the door the dog's eyes meet your guests' at first they think it's real, then that it's scared stiff, then they realize it's not real.

This dog is well made with good attention to detail, and was exactly what I was looking for. I selected the biggest of these I could find, and am glad I did because it really does look like a real dog (especially from a distance, of course). The eyes are well finished and expressive, and even the underside of the paws are patterned appropriately. The picture on the Amazon website is accurate, and he (easily as she if one is so inclined) has a nice happy, relaxed look to him. I purchased this as a gift for someone who had lost a pet, and he was immediately picked up and hugged - so another positive feature is that he's not too small for that! He fits very naturally on an armchair or sofa. Note that this dog arrived highly compressed into a plastic bag but expanded once unpacked. I've no idea how one could get it compressed that much but there are no ill effects of the packaging.

I purchased this little dog to help ease the pain we've experienced since losing our little dog, Drew. My wife went to tears when I pulled this little guy out of the box. She now sleeps with him every night, just above her pillow. Now and then she moves him, and it startles me as he does look pretty real, at a glance. This little beagle is helping us through our getting used to life without Drew (our little dog).

It looks very realistic! Great for appearance when no one is at home!

Was very disappointed in this as I thought it would be something to cuddle with. But it's as hard as a rock. Returned it the very next day.

This beagle is so lifelike it is being used as a surrogate mother for abandoned puppies, Superior craftsmanship.

Friend is still with us. We named him Friend because he looks like my dog. The stuffed animal had to be disassembled because my aggressive chewer would have been in a situation if he had eaten the styrofoam which is inside the head of Friend. I must say, he was well made but still a safety hazard for my dog. My dog still plays with the cloth portion so I guess all is not lost and I did not incur a large vet bill.
