Dogline Soft Round/Rolled Genuine Leather Step-In Harness with 15 to 20-Inch Chest and 3-Foot Leash, Black

This leash/harness combo is perfect for fluffy pup's. Wonton is a Pekingese. Her fur is 4" long in some areas and this doesn't tangle. It's so secure with the two leather straps on the shoulder area to tighten it up. Definitely our favorite so far. (She is 9 lbs if you need a point of reference for sizing.)

This is adjustable to fit my dog perfectly. It's soft and pliable. You will be pleased if you try it for your dog.

Have not tested the harness as it will be returned.The product looks sturdy, but the color I purchased and the color I received are very different and it isn't a matter of computer screen. They used way too much light to photograph their items. Expect everything to be significantly darker than what you see on screen.If you want something close to ivory, avoid this. The beige is taupe. It is not close to pearl/ivory as it appears on screen. Shame on them for using misleading photos. Far more attractive on screen than in person.Shipping was fine. This leash and harness set had the potential to be just what we needed. We have a small dog with very, soft, long hair that mats easily. Regular harnesses cause terrible mats in her fur and she hates them. However, our dog loved this set and so did we. It’s smooth and did not cause issues with mats. HOWEVER, the leather piece that slides down to hold the harness in place fell off while we were walking our dog in a park while we were on a trip. She nearly got away from us! I got this in March but didn’t use it until July on our trip. So, the window to return it was over. I contacted Amazon customer service and explained the situation and faulty product. They offered no solution. At the least, I expected to be given information to contact the company that made the product as it was clearly a case of poor workmanship. It might have even been an isolated issue, but who knows. I would recommend that you pass on this product since it is not backed up.

I was hoping to replace a rolled leather harness I've had for years and is wearing out; it was made in Italy of polished leather. But this one is not very good quality. (1) The harness straps are a bit thin, almost like string; so when the dog pulls against them the thin straps hurt more. A bit thicker would be better. (2) The leather isn't polished, it's waxed, which again pulls on the hair more and leaves marks on the fur. (3) The vertical strap connecting the chest and neck straps is short, pulling the neck strap too far down and preventing a comfortable fit. However, even if it were longer, the chest strap was too large. Of course, my dog's measurements will vary from many others'; she is 14 lbs, Italian Greyhound mix, 17 inch chest. The description says it will fit dogs 13" to 20". I haven't decided yet whether to keep it as a back-up for the other, which I'm afraid may break soon. If I could find a better one, I'd return this one.Update 2/5/15: I decided to return it. There must be better harnesses available.

Broke

We have a long haired Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. His fur mats with most harness ( I have tried several). Rolled leather was recommended so along with a collar I purchased this harnes. LOVE it! It is easy on/off, his fur does not mat and he is comfortable with it on.I was worried that it would not stay on given how it “closes”, but worried needlessly.

I'm finding that the leash is a bit too short, but otherwise, it's certainly quite easy to get my doggie ready to go out in a hurry!
