Kativa Keratin and Argan Oil Brazilian Straightening Kit

So, I am not one to leave reviews, but as a Brazilian who has been getting relaxers, perms and other straightening treatments, I was a bit scared that there would be no good similar alternatives when I moved to the US. The process is lengthy and requires a bit of muscle and patience, but the results have amazed me in the best way possible! It straightened out the pesky curls/waves on my roots (especially on my bangs) but did not stiffen the length at all, no pointy ends, super smooth and natural looking. I was able to actually do it without a fan, it did not irritate my eyes, my skin or my throat, since there were no harsh chemical fumes, which is a HUGE plus! It did bring my dyed black hair to an auburn brown, which, honestly, I ended up liking 😅For the price, if you know what you are doing, it’s a steal. Definitely recommend and will buy again. Saved my life!!!

I have very curly baby hairs to the point where i get waves when trying to do a slick pony. This product made my hair pin straight! It is a long process but do not get discouraged by the negative comments regarding the process. Its fairly simple if you follow the steps just have to have time and patience, you can tell many people have not gotten a keratin treatment done before because you still at the salon for a long time. The only con is the smell, i do agree the smell is bad and it lingers on your hair but it seems to only be noticeable to yourself as i ask others and they say it doesn't smell bad. I would definitely use this product again as well as recommend to family and friends.

If you've had a Brazilian blowout before, these are the steps. Yes, it did take a long time. My mistake, I used WAY too much product and it was almost impossible to straighten. It will dry your hair out in process, I have fine bleached hair, after I rinsed it all out, I was shocked I had no damage. It worked way better than I was expecting.Will definitely buy again. Just know the time and the process is the worst but the results are worth it.

I really like this product, makes my hair look amazing. I’m sure a few will have their doubts, but you won’t know if you don’t try it. Do remember every hair is different. Works for me!! :)

So the one and the short is that yes, it'll make your hair straight...but the process is horrible. The pre-shampoo and blow dry are fine, but the mask has a super strong chemical smell and burns on any skin it accidentally touches (such as ears/face/neck). I think I tore out half my head of hair trying to comb out the excess before starting to blow dry...which took hours to get it anywhere near dry, and even then, it was a huge sticky disaster. Then began the worst part- straightening. If you do this, prepare yourself for billowing clouds of noxious fumes- and I'm not exaggerating at all. I did my best to not breathe it, but even with loads of ventilation and a fan going, it was still burning my eyes and making me cough. And by the end, my hair was still a sticky mess- just a very straight and slightly burned smelling one. I have to say, it did wash out well in the shower and get very silky. This morning, it's not perfectly straight (I have pretty curly hair and it was inevitable I missed some spots), but it's certainly much straighter and more smooth. For me, however, the time and chemical exposure just aren't even close to worth it. If you, like me, are looking for a solution that's not hundreds of $$ in the salon, I'd encourage you to look elsewhere. I certainly will be.

I'll start by saying that there is a lot of work that goes into it. You need to have a whole day to yourself to complete this process. First you hop in the shower and wash your hair. No conditioning at this point Then you part your hair into four sections and put the actual treatment on. Let that sit for 15 min. Then while brushing you have to blow dry. If you don't have a blow-dryer you need one for this. You also need flat iron. You must get it very dry and the treatment makes it hard to brush your hair. Once your hair is dry, you'll need to flat iron the heck out of it. There is a offensive puff of smoke that comes off the flat iron and it made me cough a lot. Once you are done flat ironing your whole head with the chemical on, you get back in the shower to rinse, shampoo and condition your hair. Then get back out and blow dry. The pics you see are before and after. The after is just blowdried after the last shower.

El producto no es malo, no me quedó un liso 100% pero bajó mi onda por lo que tampoco me desagradado. Cabe destacar que tenía mucho tiempo sin usar keratina por lo que mis rizos estaban rebeldes.A diferencia de otras keratinas el olor es 0 fuerte! O al menos a mi parecer, en ningún momento mis ojos ardieron ni sentí un olor desagradable. Creo que es gentil con tu cuero cabelludo y eso me agrada. Lo seguiré usando

The media could not be loaded.  I didn’t like how straight my hair was for the first 2wks. I got what I wanted but I looked like a new person. After those 2wks it was easy to manage my hair, easy to brush, incredibly soft.About the process: you will never dry your hair completely with the product, it also sucks to brush your hair will the product in (only do it when it says to in the directions) the main thing is to keep keep blow drying your hair until you feel like you can section it off to where you can straighten it.Focus on straightening your hair in the back and not too much on the top. Volume is great on the top, and the product works so well you don’t have to overdo it. Feel what is right to your hair.Personal experiences: my hair went from black to a bit of copper, copper, mainly when it was shiny.- Yes, the smell is weird, especially when it’s wet.- blow drying didn’t seem like much of a chore until I had to do it after every shower… And I already blow dried my hair after every shower, maybe it’s just because I’m six weeks out and getting tired 😹Pls pls pls use hair oil on the ends of YOUR HAIR. Keep them hydrated <3Will I use again? Yes. I’ll probably use it 3wks out before I go to Mexico. I want to make sure I get some volume back before I leave.

The process is long but it is worth it! It relaxed my curls by, at least 90%, very happy with the results
