An insightful book
I have been a fan of Walter Lubeck for a number of years now. His wide experience of healing, including nutrition, feng shui and music gives him a unique approach to Reiki. This book has some useful insights for Reiki students/practitioners of all levels but is particularly suitable for levels 1 and 2. For level 3 I would recommend reading this book in combination with his other work, in particular Reiki Best Practices, of which he is a co-author.

Excellent Manual
I am a Reiki Master and have found this book a valuable and thorough guide. I recommend it to my students and visited here to buy some more copies. To downgrade this book because of nude drawings is ridiculous. Every practitioner knows Reiki is not given without clothes and Walter Lübeck gives an explanation on the drawings in the book. The illustrations give a clear picture of the precise area of the body and positioning of the hands. The drawings are lovely, to object to them is like objecting to a nude in oil painting.

reservations
I agree entirely with the reviewer who picked up on the issue of giving and receiving of Reiki treatments in the nude. Reiki is given and received with the participants fully clothed. Never ever accept a treatment if you are asked to remove your clothing. This alone made feel the book unworthy of more than one star. It is also interesting that Lubeck is a friend of Frank Arjava Petter. Infact they have written books together on the subject of Reiki. Frank Petter is hailed as showing the authentic origins of Reiki. I am not sure of the reliability of Mr Petter now I am aware of his association with Mr Lubeck. If you want a really good book on Reiki purchase anything by Frances and Bronwen Steine. These are far more informative and down to earth than any of Petter and Lubeck's work. I would give this book a minus star rating if I could.Avoid it.
